FOOD IN VIETNAM



VIETNAM’FOOD FAVORITE

FRIED FISH ( Cha Ca ) :
This is favorite dish in the North and is made out of hemibagrus, or snake-head. The fish are sliced, soadked with green onions and dill. The sauce to dip this dish in is salted fish sauce mixed with lemon. This dish has been listed as one of the best delicacies in Asia

COUNTRY PANCAKE ( Banh Xeo ):
Fried rice flour pancakes are filled with shrimp, meat, and bean sprouts. The crepe-like cakes are cut into pieces rolled with a sauce made up of fish sauce, vine-gar, garlic, lemon & sugar. This is a famous dish in the South and is often served as an hors-d’oeuvres.

BEEF NOODLE SOUP OF SOUTH VIETNAM
( Banh canh Nam Bo ) :

This dish consists of while rice noodle, rare beef, bean sprouts & many kinds of fennel & herbs mixed with sauce made up of fish sauce, vinegar, lemon, sugar, pepper, chili & garlic. This is a popular dish in the South, though delicious versions may also be found in Hanoi

FIELD MUSDROOM FRIED WITH DRIED PIG SKIN
( Nam Huong Xao Bong Bi ):
The main ingredients of this dish are field mushrooms & dried pig skin, but to make it more delicious, it is usually fried with pig heart and kidneys or beef, pork & green onions, celery & garlic. This dish is especially popular during the Tet holiday in the North
